What is the post-surgery process like and is nose surgery painful?
Nose surgery is not a painful operation. During the surgery, a hotel (thermoplastic or aluminum) is placed on the back of the nose and a silicone pad is placed in the nose when necessary. After 5-7 days, the hotel and tampon are removed, mild to moderate bruising occurs and disappears completely within 2 weeks, and the healing of the nose continues for an average of 1 year, with a faster rate in the first 3 months.
Is the nose curved after surgery?
Rhinoplasty surgeries, like all plastic surgery surgeries, have revision rates and possibilities. The luxury of the curvature of the nose is one of them. This possibility increases especially in traumatic noses with excessive preoperative curvature.
What are the undesirable conditions after rhinoplasty?
Re-operation (revision) may be required between 5-10% after rhinoplasty surgery. Apart from this, problems such as asymmetry and irregularities on the nasal dorsum may occur.
